Soundgarden released their third album Badmotorfinger in October 1991. In a new interview, guitarist Kim Thayil has revealed that they will reissue the album for its 25th anniversary, as Stereogum points out. It’s currently slated to come out November 18. In a 2014 interview, Thayil had said that the reissue could include b-sides, live material, and rehearsal material. In addition, Thayil said that Soundgarden are remastering and remixing their 1988 debut Ultramega OK, which would be re-released via Sub Pop. He also said that the band have “something slated for Black Friday.” Read the full interview here.

In 2014, Soundgarden reissued Superunknown for its 20th anniversary. Earlier this year, they re-released 1989’s Louder Than Love and 1996’s Down on the Upside on vinyl. The supergroup Temple of the Dog, which features Soundgarden’s Chris Cornell, reissued their self-titled record. They will tour soon.
