Earlier today, it appeared that Drake and Rihanna were up to something. A mysterious new website, drakeandrihanna.com, had been launched, featuring Drake’s 6 God logo (as seen on the cover of If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late), as well as a countdown clock. According to the clock, something will happen on Thursday, September 8 at 9 p.m. Eastern. However, representatives for both Drake and Rihanna confirmed to Pitchfork that the site is not associated with either artist. Sorry, everyone.

It’s since been revealed that Joanne the Scammer and Super Deluxe are behind it; a video has replaced the countdown clock.

Earlier today, the OVO Sound Twitter account tweeted “#welcometothefamily” with an image of the billboard Drake used to congratulate Rihanna on her Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award win at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night. At the VMAs, Drake presented the Video Vanguard Award to Rihanna. He said, “She’s someone I've been in love with since I was 22 years old.” The two have connected musically a number of times in the past. This year, she featured on “Too Good” on his VIEWS, and he was on ANTI’s standout “Work.”
