This weekend marked the third annual Eaux Claires Music & Arts Festival, organized by Bon Iver's Justin Vernon and the National's Aaron Dessner. Yesterday, Vernon and Dessner played a set under the name Big Red Machine (which was the name of their Dark Was the Night collaboration). They debuted some new music during that appearance. Watch five different excerpts from that set in the playlist below. Also, watch Vernon and Dessner perform during one of the festival’s “People Mixtape” jam sessions in the full set video below.

At last year’s Eaux Claires Fest, Bon Iver premiered the entirety of 22, A Million, the National led an all-star Grateful Dead tribute, and Chance the Rapper made a surprise appearance during Francis and the Lights’ set. Revisit our festival report from last year’s Eaux Claires Fest.
