My Bloody Valentine May Have New Album Next Year

According to a Kevin Shields festival bio, MBV fans might have something to get excited about

Earlier today, it was announced that Kevin Shields is performing at Norður og Niður, Sigur Ros’ upcoming festival in Iceland. Now, it appears that Shields has more news on the way. According to the bio on the festival website, he is “working on material for a new My Bloody Valentine album to be released in 2018.” The hypothetical LP would be the follow-up to their 2013 comeback album m b v. Additionally, the bio claims that Shields is working on new “all analog vinyl versions” of the band’s first two albums, Isn’t Anything and Loveless—an endeavor he’s previously discussed.
