Every week, Pitchfork offers a run-down of significant new releases available on streaming services. This week’s batch includes albums and soundtracks from Woods, Guardians of the Galaxy*, GAS, J Dilla, Joe Goddard, Ray Davies, and DJ Quik and Problem.*

Woods: Love Is Love [Woodsist]

After releasing City Sun Eater in the River of Light last year, Woods are back with Love Is Love. The album was written and recorded in the two months after the election and is “a meditation on love, and on what life means now.” Read Pitchfork’s review of the title track.

Various Artists: Guardians of the Galaxy: Awesome Mix, Vol. 2 [Hollywood]

In keeping with its predecessor, the second volume of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy features songs from the 1960s and 1970s. The soundtrack includes classics by Fleetwood Mac, Sam Cooke, George Harrison, Electric Light Orchestra, Parliament, Cheap Trick, and more. There’s also an original song with vocals from David Hasselhoff.

GAS: Narkopop [Kompakt]

Narkopop is Wolfgang Voigt’s first new GAS album in 17 years, following 2000’s Pop. Last year, he released a GAS anthology box set.

J Dilla: Motor City [Dillatronic]

The latest collection of rare and unreleased J Dilla instrumentals was curated by his mother, Maureen “Ma Dukes” Yancey. CD and vinyl editions are packaged in a limited-edition mailing envelope with a handwritten message from Ma Dukes to Dilla, illustrating the album’s concept as a “‘letter’ to her son.”

Joe Goddard: Electric Lines [Greco-Roman/Domino]

Electric Lines is the second solo album from Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard, following 2009’s Harvest Festival. Watch the videos for the LP’s “Lose Your Love” and “Music Is the Answer.”

Ray Davies: Americana [Legacy]

The Kinks’ Ray Davies is back with a new solo album. Americana, his first album since Working Man*’s Café*, features the Jayhawks as Davies’ backing band. It follows his 2013 memoir Americana, and includes several spoken word samples from it.

DJ Quik / ProblemRosecrans [Diamond Lake Music Group, Inc./Blake Enterprises]

Last year, DJ Quik and Problem released a six-song EP called Rosecrans. They’ve now released a full-length record of the same name. It includes the EP songs, as well as six new tracks. The new cuts feature Dom Kennedy, Boogie, MC Eiht, and others.
