Today is the Women’s March on Washington, a massive protest descending on Washington, D.C. and numerous other cities around the United States less than 24 hours after the inauguration of president Donald Trump. After Janelle Monáe spoke at the event (“Get off our areolas; get off our vaginas,” she demanded), she and Jidenna led the crowd in a call-and-response performance of “Hell You Talmbout.” They were joined by the mothers of Trayvon Martin, Mohamed Bah, Eric Garner, Dontre Hamilton, and Jordan Davis. Watch a portion of her speech and the performance below. The event also featured performances from Madonna, Alicia Keys, Maxwell, Amber Coffman, and others.
