Kevin Gates has been sentenced to 30 months in prison, according to TMZ. The rapper reportedly pled guilty to felony gun possession. He will be transferred to the Illinois Department of Corrections, according to the report. Prior to the 30-month sentence, Gates was denied bail. The weapons charge surfaced in March when it was discovered as authorities were processing his release from jail after having served 180 days for battery. Pitchfork has contacted Kevin Gates’ representatives for comment.
