Kate Bush has shared “a message for Lindsay” following the death Saturday of her friend and collaborator Lindsay Kemp. Writing on her website, Bush described the choreographer as “a truly original and great artist of the stage,” adding, “To call him a mime artist is like calling Mozart a pianist.”
Kemp, who also worked closely with David Bowie, mentored Kate Bush after she saw his 1974 show “Flowers” and asked to work with him. In 1978, she dedicated her song “Moving” to him, and later asked him to star in her musical film “The Line, the Cross and the Curve.” Read her full statement below.
