Terrence Malick has shared the trailer for his new movie Song to Song. In addition to the film’s stars (Rooney Mara, Natalie Portman, Michael Fassbender, and Ryan Gosling), it features appearance by Iggy Pop, Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea, Black Lips, and others. Song to Song premieres at SXSW on March 10. It hits theaters in New York and Los Angeles on March 17. The film takes place in Austin, Texas’ music scene. It is about two couples (portrayed by Mara/Gosling and Portman/Fassbender) who “chase success through a rock‘n’roll landscape of seduction and betrayal.” Arcade Fire, Iron & Wine, and Alan Palomo of Neon Indian are rumored to be in the film, as they have all shot scenes for it in the past.
