Ringo Starr Gets Knighted

As promised, Ringo Starr has been knighted. He received the honor today from Prince William (Duke of Cambridge) at Buckingham Palace. Speaking with the BBC, Ringo said, “It means a lot actually.” He continued, “It means recognition for the things we’ve done. I was really pleased to accept this.” Find photos from the ceremony below. Back in October 1965, Queen Elizabeth II presented all four Beatles with Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) medals. Paul McCartney was knighted in 1997.
