The War on Drugs paid tribute to Neil Young in his hometown of Toronto last night. The band covered his 1977 American Stars ‘n Bars song “Like a Hurricane.” Watch footage of the performance below. The War on Drugs released their latest LP, A Deeper Understanding, this August. In a GRAMMY.com interview, frontman Adam Granduciel explained how Young was a major inspiration in experimenting with guitar sounds on their most recent record. Young has also shared his long-lost Hitchhiker album, which is composed of recordings from 1976. He recently announced a reissue of his 1992 full-length, Harvest Moon.
