The Yeah Yeah Yeahs have been on hiatus—the last time they played together was in 2013 while touring behind Mosquito. Last night, the band got back together at New York's Dream Hotel. Karen O, Nick Zinner, and Brian Chase were all in attendance at a Tribeca afterparty for the Mick Rock documentary SHOT! The Psycho-Spiritual Mantra of Rock. The three bandmates, alongside Money Mark and TV on the Radio's Jaleel Bunton, covered songs by David Bowie ("Moonage Daydream") and Lou Reed ("Perfect Day"). Zinner and Karen also performed Ramones' "Sheen Is a Punk Rocker," though Chase was replaced by Marky Ramone on drums. Sky Ferreira, Dum Dum Girls' Kristin Kontrol, TV on the Radio's Tunde Adebimpe, and Gogol Bordello's Eugene Hutz also performed. Check out footage, including Sky Ferreira covering Bowie's "Rock'n'Roll Suicide," below via Rolling Stone.
