During his V Festival set last night in Staffordshire, England, JAY-Z paid tribute to his late collaborator, Chester Bennington of Linkin Park, by performing their collaborative single “Numb/Encore.” He began by asking the crowd, “Can you guys light it up tonight for Chester?” He continued, “Linkin Park, one time, tonight. Please make some noise so he can hear you all the way in heaven tonight!” Watch it below. The song appears on JAY-Z and Linkin Park’s 2004 EP Collision Course. “Numb/Encore” eventually won Best Rap/Sung Collaboration at the 2006 Grammy Awards.

On July 20, Bennington was reported dead at the age of 41. The Los Angeles County coroner confirmed that his death was a suicide by hanging. In wake of Bennington’s death, many artists including Coldplay, Rihanna, Pharrell, Mike Shinoda, and more have shared tributes on social media.
