Chris Cornell Box Set Announced, Unreleased Song Shared: Listen

The Chris Cornell estate have announced a new, massive career-spanning box set of Chris Cornell’s music. The estate is teaming with his wife, Vicky Cornell, to release a 17-track self-titled album and a 62-track limited edition deluxe box set featuring solo work and songs with Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, and Audioslave. It’s out November 16. The previously unreleased track “When Bad Does Good” is out now. The song was produced, recorded, and mixed by Cornell and found in his personal recordings archive. Chris Cornell is available with a 32-page booklet featuring unreleased photos, as well as liner notes from bandmates and colleagues like Tom Morello, Kim Thayil, Matt Cameron, and others. There’s also a double LP edition with a further expanded booklet and a super deluxe version with four CDs, seven LPs, and a DVD. In total, it arrives with 24 videos and 64 songs, which includes 11 unreleased tracks and ten unreleased live performances like his Prince cover of “Nothing Compares 2 U.” The Super Deluxe box set also comes with a 66-page hardcover photo book, artist lithos, a wall poster, and more. Chris Cornell died in May 2017. His hometown of Seattle plan to erect a statue in memoriam of the grunge icon. For the one-year anniversary of his death, fans and family remembered his life with a vigil.
