Tonight marks the deadline for British citizens to register to vote in the upcoming general election on June 8, in which constituents will vote for candidates to represent their respective districts in Parliament, ultimately determining the next Prime Minister. Current PM Theresa May called for this snap election in April; if May and her Conservative Party win the election, they will not be required to call for another election until 2022. Now, artists—including Radiohead’s Thom Yorke, M.I.A., James Blake—have called for people in the UK to register to vote, taking to social media to encourage fans. See that below. (Yorke previously called for a second referendum following the results of the Brexit vote.)

Several notable grime artists, including Stormzy, JME, Novelist, and others, have been encouraging the youth vote with a “#Grime4Corbyn” initiative, pledging their support for Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn. Corbyn tweeted his support for the music industry, referencing Stormzy and Adele, in the tweet below. JME and Corbyn sat down in a conversation for i-D Mag recently, and Corbyn made an appearance at a Libertines show over the weekend as well—find those clips below.
