Phoebe Bridgers and Courtney Barnett have teamed up for a cover of Gillian Welch’s 2001 song “Everything Is Free.” The performance was part of the Newport Folk Festival’s three-day virtual weekend and took place over livestream from Bridgers’ home in Los Angeles and Barnett’s in Melbourne, respectively. Check out footage of the performance below (via NME).

Last week, Bridgers released the video for “I Know the End,” from this year’s Punisher. Barnett recently appeared on Jimmy Fallon to perform “Sunday Roast,” from 2018’s Tell Me How You Really Feel. She’s also set to write the soundtrack for Brazen Hussies, an upcoming documentary about the Australian Women’s Liberation Movement, with Evelyn Ida Morris.
