Unearthed James Stinson (Drexciya, the Other People Place) EP Set for Release

Revered techno producer James Stinson passed away in 2002. While his work with Gerald Donald as Drexciya and his excellent one-off album as the Other People Place, Lifestyles of the Laptop Café have seen reissues, it’s been a long time since new music from Stinson has seen the light of day. All of that is about to change; Dutch label Clone has announced a new six-track EP from Stinson under the name Jack Peoples will be released in June, under their Aqualung Series sublabel, as Fact points out. The EP is called Laptop Café, and was recorded around the time of Lifestyles of the Laptop Café. The tracks “resurfaced on a long lost DAT tape,” according to the label. Check out snippets from the EP below.
